Qualicum Beach Trail Ninjas - What are you going to do about it?The Trail Ninjas are a group of mountain bike riders from Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island. We build our own trails and we ride them. If you don't work on our trails, you don't ride them. How simple is that?

We have some of the best single-track on Vancouver Island and we'd love to invite you to come and ride our trails but the only way you can find out where they are is to work on them with us.

The Trail Ninjas are not an organized mountain bike club. There are no dues or meetings or rules for that matter. We are just a group of mountain bike riders who like to build new trails to ride. Some of us belong to clubs, most don't.

The Trail Ninjas range in age from 12 years old to 70 years old. At this time there about 10 of us in the Qualicum area.

If we find trails that are in need of maintenance, we fix them. If we find areas that look like they would benefit from new trails, we build them.

We like to throw a little challenge into our trails but we always leave an easy way around our stunts. We realize that people are going to find some of our trails and use them and we don't want to kill anyone.

If you find one of our trails with the Ninja sign,
Ninja Trail Sign
it's a good idea to go cautiously the first time through.

If you're on a dirt bike or a quad and you find one of our trails, turn around and leave as quietly as possible.
Our trails are for mountain bikes and are NOT SAFE FOR MOTORIZED VEHICLES.

The 20% Solution.   Those bike trails you ride don't build or maintain themselves. Someone puts a lot of work into keeping your trails in good shape. If the trails you ride aren't in good shape, you have no one to blame but yourself. We believe, as do most mountain bike groups, that if you put in 20% of your riding time building or repairing or clearing, you're a REAL mountain bike rider. Otherwise you're nothing.
We're sick of yuppie, SUV driving, week-end warriors cruising around and riding everyone else's trails and never putting in a minute of work trimming or building. And the next time I hear someone say "Somebody should do something about these trails." I'm going to stick my Pulaski in his ass and twist it.

Polluters Take Note!!! We carry cameras! If we catch you dumping garbage in the forest, you can expect the police to visit you with some high quality pictures. They will have your license number and photos of you dumping your garbage.
